(pc) Double-click in Inventory to view properties.

(pc) Double-click in Inventory to view properties.
    Description:
Double-click on an item in Inventory to view properties, please.
The existing click-on-icon-to-flash is very nice. A double-click (for PCs) on, say, the name in the Model column should do something; how about open properties? Much more convenient than the right-click then select, and Properties (for me) is the other most-used option.

    Thanks!

Can I use a second PC with WWB 6, on the same network, just to monitor the UHF set-up, for instance, on a different location?

8 Character Limit for Device ID and Channel Name?1

    Title:
8 Character Limit for Device ID and Channel Name?
    Description:
When trying to rename channels, it appears that there is an 8 character limit to both the Channel Name and Device ID Fields. Am I doing something wrong, or is there really an 8 character limit to these fields? I understand that this may be the limit of the display on the transmitter screens, but if the intention of WWB6 is really to be coordination software for an event, then I think you should consider adding a description field of some sort so that an RF coordinator can keep accurate notes within the software regarding what frequencies have been assigned to what user(s)

    90210 zip code / available channels2

    Title:
90210 zip code / available channels
    Description:
    Hi,
We were looking at UHFR J5 results in zip code 90210. WWB6 calculates 0 channels- ouch. Shure web based Frequency Finder lists 8 channels in group 4. This is because WWB6 incudes channel 40 (KPXM) with no distance listed. Are these both relating to the same data source? Obviously this area requires a scan -love those Spectrum Managers!- rather than postal code importing.
By the way, here in the Twin Cites (55114) channel 33 is now on the air. Doesn't show up in either format; who should we contact about it being added?
    Thanks,
    Roy

Ability to change range after adding a device1

Ability to change range after adding a device
    Description:

    Hi guys,

I would find this feature interesting so that we could prepare our session and would be able to adapt it according to the gear provided by the company; instead of deleting them and redo the work (naming, zone, incl grp, colors...).

    Thanks for reading.

Ability to merge scan data from different devices4

    Title:
Ability to merge scan data from different devices
    Description:
    Hi Guys
Is there any possibility to add a function for merging scan data.

I would like to be able to add multiple scans and get WWB to merge the files so that it would take a peak level for a given frequency from any of the imported scans.

An example of operating practice where this could be useful would be moving antennas between scans, performing multiple scans around a large stage, eg with a PSM1K pack. Winradio scans from WWB5 in different positions onstage.

This would almost be like "flattening" a waterfall plot, and would allow you to effectively import a "worstcase scenario" for interference.

This feature would benefit from the ability to "equalise" the sensitivity of the scans to align noise floor, and then treat the aggregate scan data as if it were one scan.

Ability to scan longer than 8 hours

Ability to scan longer than 8 hours
    Description:
It would be realy helpful to scan 24 hours or longer, only to see what happens in situations where a lot of companies setup for one event at different days or times. In Peking for example i saw a dvbt signal which only was visible between 8 pm and 12 pm. Think about what happens if your event starts at 8 pm. Only the possibility to scan some days in front of the event saved me.

    Access control levels needed

    Title:
    Access control levels needed
    Description:
    Dear Shure,

With the advent of showlink, we have some amazing new features. However, this brings new dangers. I've given my A2 a laptop, and he is able to monitor frequencies, manage microphones, view battery levels, etc on the fly.
However, the amount of power within showlink posed some dangers. With the old networking systems, there wasn't much danger of someone messing things up too bad, but now an A2 has the ability to bring the whole show down with some accidental keystrokes.
Many manufacturers offer control levels on their products, I know Axient is different as they use multiple devices, thus a lack of unified access code, but the ability to lock out certain features with certain access levels would br very useful
