    Title:
Samsung Windows 8 Tablet - WWB6 couldnt find any networks at first startup?
    Description:
I'm in the market for a tablet for a variety of purposes....
I'd like to include one of those purposes to be WWB6 to monitor wireless devices.

yesterday I went into a major brand office supply chain store and played with the new Samsung tablet that has windows 8 on it.

seemed to work well and seems to fit the standards of what I need it to do....
loaded my WWB6 from a usb key, and it installed just fine.
went to do the first startup and it asks which network you want to use....and nothing showed up in the box so I could not continue on.

I need a work around to get past this initial screen.
I'm not sure if its a windows 8 issue, or something to do with how the software recognizes the network devices on the tablet

theres a docking device I can buy with the samsung, and realistically I would probably use the tablet on the dock, connected to the hard wired ethernet on the dock itself.

but I need to know how to get past that initial setup screen that asks which network to use so I can play with various tablets to make sure it can do everything I need it to do before purchasing one.

maybe a reg edit of some sort that I can run or change before I run WWB6 for the first time on these tablets?

Windows 8 is not currently supported by WWB6, but should be coming soon. It's hard to say say what effects, in any, would occur, but it's also possible there's some issues with the tablet. My advice is to wait until WWB6 includes Windows 8 support, and install it at that time. If it turns out that it's a tablet issue, we can tackle it at that time.

unfortunately, that means my tablet selection is very limited and stuck to tablets that previously had windows 7 on them

please hurry up and get started on windows 8 support...its out, and new laptops are starting to come with it standard.

Already working on it! It's just not quite there yet. I don't have an official date, but stay tuned.

yeah... Right now its the only thing keeping me from buying a reasonably priced tablet...

I'm not even sure the samsung would even do what I want it to... I have to go in and install a few programs and play with it in the store...LOL
but if its just related to the samsung, then its not an issue... if its related to all windows 8 devices... then I am up a creek when I upgrade my laptop here in the beginning of 2013.

I tried loading it on my new Toshiba Windows 8 laptop. I have the same issue

I ended up with a Dell Latitude ST, with Windows 7
It works Just fine on a Windows 7 tablet...as expected

We have tried to run it on under Windows 8 and got it to run, but we are still not officially supporting it. It should only be a few more months before it is thoroughly tested. Stay tuned. Windows 7 is still your best bet for now.
