When I try and do a frequency update in WWB I get this message:
Scanner reported no scan ID available
What does this mean and how do I resolve it?

This alert means that WWB cannot arrange the necessary relationship with a scanning device. You might be seeing this alert if your version of WWB6 and the firmware of the device attempting to scan are not compatible. Ensure that you have the latest versions of WWB6 and firmware for the device (all firmware requirements are listed on the downloads page), and try the scan again.

If this does not work, please post more specifics on which device you are using, the versions of firmware/software you currently have installed, and the hardware specs of your computer running WWB6.

I believe I am running the most current versions of everything.

In the rack I have the following:

      AXT600
      AXT400A
      AXT900
      AXT620
      AXT610

They were all updated to firmware version 1.7.2 and I am running WWB 6.1.5.2

I am using an HP ProBook 4520s running Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1

The interesting thing is, I have two identical racks. One works perfectly and the other is giving me the errors.

Thank you for sharing your system specs, Josh. I would ask that you try 2 more things with the rack of gear that is not scanning.

      • Factory reset the Spectrum Manager
        • From the front panel, select Util > More > Reset All
        • Select the green "Enter" button when it blinks to confirm the reset
        • Perform a scan manually from the front panel of the Spectrum Manager, and import it into WWB6
      • Ensure that you have a proper antenna network connected into the RF inputs of the Spectrum Manager
        • From the front panel, select Manual > Scan. Ensure that the "Sweep" parameter is set to "Single" and not "Continuous". Change this value with the control wheel. Select "Start" to begin the scan.
        • Once the scan is complete, select "Store" from the front panel of the Spectrum Manager.
        • Connect your computer to the same network that the Spectrum Manager is on, and launch WWB6. Ensure that the Spectrum Manager is discovered and displayed in the Inventory view (Proper Network Setup guide)
        • From the Frequency Coordination tab, select "Change Scan Data" to open the Scan Data dialog.
        • In the "Import from Hardware" section, select the folder button next to a row that does not have scan data loaded (where no filename is listed). The Import Scan dialog will open.
        • Select the Device ID of the Spectrum Manager with the stored scan from the drop-down, then select Import. You will receive a confirmation that the scan was successfully imported in the Import Scan dialog, as well as notice that the scan will be displayed in the Coordination plot behind the open dialogs.

After performing these 2 tasks, retry the same procedure that was throwing the scanner ID error before.

I too am experiencing this exact issue....Tried the above with no change (other than it did import the scan from the AXT600).

Same error here, Mac or PC. The system was running fine a few weeks ago. The above imports the scan data, but doesn't resolve the error.

Not to be the echo of the other users but i am having this same issue and just updated the firmware. Last week the AXT600 was performing as normal before installing the firmware update......after doing the manual scan on the AXT600 and importing the issue is still present

Hey, I've run through these suggestions with no change. My computer is running windows 7, we tried it with a mac running windows XP and everything worked perfectly. My computer is still unhappy.

This alert means that WWB cannot arrange the necessary relationship with a scanning device. You might be seeing this alert if your version of WWB6 and the firmware of the device attempting to scan are not compatible.

We had seen this problem on several machines and differing versions of firmware. We believe the issue to be fixed with Wireless Workbench version 6.2.1.34 (available for download here) and the updated Axient firmware version 1.7.5, which is available through the Firmware Update Manager of Wireless Workbench.

Please download both new versions, and run a test scan initiated from WWB6 using the AXT600 Spectrum Manager.

Sorry for the confusion and any issues this bug may have caused.

      Hi!

I want to use my four QLXD system with WW6. The software recognize my receivers, the inventory and monitoring tab works well, but at the Frequency Coordination tab when I want to measure I get this message: "Scanner reported no scan ID available". My QLXD receivers has got the latest firmware 1.0.15. What should I do to solve this problem. Thank you for your reply!
